Does the app really work without internet?

Yes. Reduto was built to work 100% offline, with no network permission. All food, water, and equipment registration plus autonomy calculation happens locally on your phone.
Does my data go to any cloud?

No. The app has no connection to servers and collects no data from you. The only "backup" that exists is the encrypted ZIP file you create yourself and store wherever you want (your own cloud, SD card, computer).
How does encrypted backup work?

You choose a password of at least 8 characters and the app generates a ZIP protected with AES-256-GCM + PBKDF2. Without that password, it's impossible to restore the data — so it's essential to keep it safe.
What is the tracking code / QR Code for each item?

Every registered item (food, water, equipment, medicine, etc.) automatically receives a short code, without ambiguous characters, with prefix. The system also generates and reads QR codes with all the item information. You can label the physical packaging with it and then search the item in seconds with the global search.
Does it also read barcodes?

Yes, Reduto reads the product barcode and associates it with the registered product type, so if you've already scanned barcodes from two brands of white rice, next time you scan one the system will suggest the product type to speed up your entry.
How does the Planner calculate my stock target?

You set your autonomy goal in days (7 to 365) and Reduto calculates the target water and food by nutritional group for your family size, based on the Utah State University Extension calculator. In "Expand" mode, it also compares with what you already have and shows you exactly what's missing.
Can I import the spreadsheet I use today?

Yes. Reduto has a CSV importer in Excel PT-BR format (semicolon separator and comma decimal), with a model generated by the app itself, line-by-line preview, and validation before confirming the import.
What are "storage methods" and why register mine?

Each method (original packaging, Mylar + bucket, vacuum, etc.) affects the estimated shelf-life of a food by a different factor. Reduto comes with 6 standard methods, but you can register your own, with usage tips and shelf-life factor by food category.
Does the app cover just food or also equipment?

Both. In addition to food and water stock, Reduto has a real catalog of 31 equipment in 12 groups (generators, cooking, solar, water, communication, navigation, and more), with periodic test checklists and delay alerts.
Where do the numbers used in calculations come from?

From cited sources within the app itself: TACO Table (UNICAMP) for nutritional composition, Utah State University and University of Georgia Extension for stock quantity, and FAO/WHO/WFP and FEMA/CDC for emergency food basket and water — all listed in the "Scientific Sources" section, with a responsibility note.
Is there a free plan?

Yes, forever. Reduto PRO (cloud encrypted backup and complete dashboard) is on the way — for now, the free plan already covers complete registration of food, water, equipment, methods, and the Planner.
Is there an iOS (iPhone) version?
